The professorship of Llullism of Palma had its chair at Cura.
Likewise,
the first Grammar School or College on Majorca was here. For many decades it was
thus, therefore, as the tradition of teaching has one of its strongest houses at
Cura...
Today Cura could offer teaching and initiatives such as:
a)
School educational excursions: Girls and boys would get to know first-hand the
geography of the Island. They would also come into contact with the Island's
first school They would remember old popular games. They would hear phrases on
our language and resounding in the grammar hall. They would pray to the Virgin
just as other Majorcan children did who loved Her so much.
b) Youth and art:
Cura was a 'school' and as such must continue. Children and youths must be
allowed to feel those walls as familiar places, ready to receive, spontaneously,
simply and magnanimously the first expressions of their genious and their
ingenuity. All students have a home here.
