MAJORCAN PORCH:
Majorcan Porch of the year 1682. This date can be seen together
with a small shield of the Council of the Kingdom, out in the stone itself. In
the centre, a deteriorated shield of the Brothers and Sisters of the Order of
Franciscan Penitence: the cross and the two arms with the initials OPC and three
nails, in memory of the passion of Christ. Inscription: 'Amable fill, Saluda
nostra dona qui es salut e benedicció nostra' 'Beloved son, hail Our Lady who is
our health and benediction' (Ramon Llull, Blanquerna, chap 61). Above, the half
moon, shield of the noble Llull family. In the interior of the arch there is a
shield with the initials JHS (Jesus, Saviour of Mankind). The motto of the
standard Saint Bernard of Sienna raised at his missions. Inscription: 'Omnia in
nomine Dni' 'Jesu Christi facite' (1 cor. 10) (Do everything in the name of
Christ).
